Senate Order for Entity Contracts

2021 Calendar Year

In line with the Senate Order for Entity Contracts, of 20 June 2021 (amended 14 May 2021) (the Order), the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS) is required to publish twice a year on its website, a list of all contracts entered into by AIMS, which provide for consideration to the value of $100,000 or more (GST inclusive).

This listing relates to the period of 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2021 (Reporting Period) and includes contracts which:

have not been fully performed in the 12 months prior to 31 December 2021; or
have been entered into during the 12 months prior to 31 December 2021.

Most of the contracts listed in the table for the Reporting Period contain confidentiality provisions of a general nature that are designed to protect the confidential information of the parties that may be obtained or generated in carrying out the contract. The reasons for including such clauses include:

ordinary commercial prudence that requires protection of trade secrets, proprietary information and the like; and/or
protection of Commonwealth material, other sensitive material and/or personal information.

None of the contracts in this listing contain inappropriate confidentiality provisions.

Basis of method used to estimate cost: Hourly rates of officials multiplied by estimated hours spent to collect and analyse the information and generate the response.
