AIMS Strategy 2025 sharpens our focus on delivering impact to Australia.
Published in 2018, it guides our research and investment in tropical marine science to inform decision-making for government and industry to 2025.
AIMS Strategy 2025 updates the previous Strategic Plan 2015-25, recognising the period of rapid change in Australia’s marine environment since that Plan was developed in 2014.
The strategy is based on extensive surveys of our stakeholders needs, aligns with national and international priorities, as well as international frameworks such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Each element in our strategy is accompanied by a clear, measurable target that allows us, and the nation, to track our progress. These are reported as annual key performance indicators (KPIs) in our Corporate Plans.
